2008 X Factor winner and all round Brit sensation, Alexandra Burke, has asked swimwear Queen Melissa Odabash to design her 2011 solo tour costumes. Alexandra's All Night Long Tour of 29 dates is much anticipated following her debut album, and everyone has big expectations when it comes to her outfits! With the support of Swarovski Elements, Melissa has designed 5 key looks for Alexandra. The colours of the pieces have been kept neutral with shades of pale gold, brown sugar and white, accented with shimmering Swarovski crystals, floating chiffon and hundreds of hand embellished feathers. The audience will be wowed with Melissa's elegant, yet fierce, designs which suit Alexandra big personal perfectly! When asked what she thought of the collaboration with Melissa, Alex said - ‘It has been so magical working with Melissa. She has now become someone I know I will be friends with forever. She just understands me and my vision. I am very lucky to have her on board.' So you heard it here first, let us know what you think!

Model Lisa Butcher attended a VIP dinner last night, hosted by Elizabeth Hurley, at the Old Billingsgate sparkling in Melissa Odabash! Lisa wore the Jamie dress in shimmering gold from Melissa's 2011 collection and accessorized it perfectly with gold clutch and jewellery.

Melissa Odabash presented her 2011 collection with a Press Day extravaganza, supported by Fiji Water, at her flagship store. Journalists came from all the major fashion publications to view the collection and also take a look around Melissa’s stunning Notting Hill store.

The whole day went very well and fashion journalists went away from the event with a fabulous goodie bag full of treats! Enjoy the pics!

Melissa Odabash Christmas Competition!

Here at Melissa Odabash we are giving one lucky winner the chance to design our Christmas window display in our flagship Notting Hill store! We are looking for something fun and playful, but still glamorous enough to represent the brand. Successful applicants will have the use of up to 4 mannequins, two beach drums and all the accessories and pieces from the collection in store. They can use as little or as much as they want. We also already have a supply of fairy lights if they want them!

Kelly Osbourne glows gold in Melissa Odabash!

Kelly Osbourne has bared her incredible new body to the nation by fronting the launch of a new campaign for Sky+HD reaching over 50 channels in high definition. Kelly is so proud and confident of her fabulous new figure that she agreed to be sprayed gold all over and pose almost completely naked in the style of Shirley Eaton in the Bond film, Goldfinger. To make sure Kelly was covered in the right places she wore a pair of Melissa Odabash bottoms…We are sure these stunning shots will be everyone very soon so watch out!

Melissa Odabash rocks Britain’s Next Top Model Live at London’s Excel Centre, 22nd – 24th October

Following the sixth series of Britain’s Next Top Model which aired earlier this year, a brand new event was hosted at London’s Excel Centre last Friday-Sunday to celebrate the success of the show. ‘Britain’s Next Top Model Live’ gave fans of the show a chance to get up close and personal to the judges, the models, get advice from industry experts and watch amazing guest performances from such stars as Alicia Dixon and Diana Vickers.

As a guest judge on Episode 6 of BNTM back in August, it was no surprise that Melissa was asked to be involved in this event to kick off proceedings on the ‘Kiss Open Catwalk’ on the Friday morning. Melissa was invited to give a talk on how to dress different body types on the beach and also give advice to audience members who had questions for her. Presented by Emma Willis, Melissa was first on of the line-up of Friday’s special guest appearances which included an interview with hunky judge from the series, Charley Speed.

Melissa’s talk went down very well with the audience, especially when she revealed she is currently designing some on-off pieces for Lady Gaga! After Melissa’s appearance it was a quick dash over to the main BNTM catwalk for a stunning 45 minute catwalk show whichfeatured a selection of Melissa’s swimwear pieces modelled by the BNTM girls strutting down the catwalk to Katy Perry’s California Girls, a great song choice! The catwalk show included other inspiring designers, incredible dance routines and a beautiful finale, all put together by choreographer and designer Graham Cruz who we were lucky enough to meet, along with all the BNTM models, backstage.

After the BNTM catwalk show we headed back to the ‘Kiss Open Catwalk’ to watch X Factor star Dianna Vickers perform 3 tracks from her debut album. We were lucky to catch her backstage before her performance to give her some Melissa Odabash goodies which included a Stetson hat, a favourite Melissa Odabash piece worn by her X Factor Mentor Cheryl Cole. Dianna was fantastic and almost unrecognisable from her X Factor days; watch out for her wearing her Stetson!

NEW COLLECTION AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER

For Melissa's 2011 Collection she decided to shoot the new look book in the picturesque setting of Ibiza. The azure sparkling water and atmospheric caves were the perfect choice for the collection. Melissa worked wtih acclaimed fashion photographer Mark Newton who also created the fantastic imagery for the 2009 collection in Marbella. After several model castings Lorraine Van Wyk from South Africa was chosen to front the campaign.

The 2011 collection contains some completely new prints that have never been used before with a selection of bikinis, swimsuits and kaftans and cover-ups all on luxe fabrics with refined details. Some of the favourites from the previous seasons have been carried forward in new prints and colours and with the new styles there is sure to be something to suit everyone!The collection is elegant and refined while still being practical and most importantly flattering!

The 'Alex'

The 'Alex' comes in multi-paisley, peacock and peacock coral - 3 new prints introduced to the Melissa Odabash collection. The Alex is an ideal sun shield and flattering on all figures while still managing to be on tread and fun. Paired with a slip underneath it could also work as an evening dress if teamed with some fabulous heels and some accessories.

The 'Capri'
The 'Capri' is this seasons version of the 2010 Marrakech and the renowed 'Florida' which was worn by Cheryl Cole whilst on holiday in the South of France with her then husband Ashley Cole. (pictured below) The 'Capri' is a glamourous one-piece guaranteed to turn heads - just like Cheryl did! It comes in Truffle (pictured) and White embellished with beads and jewels that will sparkle from afar!

The 'Casablanca'

The 'Casablanca' is one of the new shapes. Its perfect for any woman wanting to hide a 'not so perfect bottom' or not so slim hips - especially in the navy. The top is ideal for those with a bigger bust. It comes in Sky (pictured), red, navy and white.

The 'Sandy'
The 'Sandy' is the cover up to be wearing this year, either on the beach or the pool thrown over a bikini or one-piece. It would also look great during the day teamed with a tank top and a pair of jeans or shorts. It would look fantastic teamed with this years Stetson Hat:

Melissa Odabash Guest Judges on Britans Next Top Model

Monday 9th August was the airing of Britan's Next Top Model Season 6, Episode 6 on Living TV. The girls were flown to Spain for a photoshoot for Melissa Odabash. The shoot took place at Spain's SHA Wellness Clinic where Melissa was on set to give specialist advice on how to work the camera and to style the girls in their swimwear. The girls modelled the 2010 collection to stay in the competition. Amba and Nicola were in the bottom two, with Amba being eliminated.

Melissa Rocks Miami Swimwear at the W Hotel

On Friday 16th July Melissa Odabash unveiled her latest 2011 swimwear and ready-to-wear collection on the reunway in Miami hosted by the W South Beach. As well as the latest collection, she also debuted exclusive pieces for the upcoming W Vieques Global Glam Resort collection.

The 2011 collection consisted of her trademark animal prints, bejewelled swimsuits and vintage prints. 'I tried to do a collection you can wear whether you're in St Tropez or in the Hamptons', Odabash explained. 'You don't have to only be from Europe to wear my (designs), so I try to include a little bit for everybody,' she added.

Actress Lindsay Price, model and designer India Hicks, Paul Barcadi, LA Socialites Jill Roberts and Sarah Emanuel, Dee Poon, Susanne Birbragher, Vogue Latino America's Eva Hughes and Ocean Drive's Suzy Buckley and Food Network star Ingrid Hoffman were all in attendance to celebrate Melissa's Swim Week debut.

After the show in the penthouse high above the surf a private dinner was held to toast Melissa and celebrate the new Melissa Odabash W Vieques Global Glam Resort collection. Whilst guests sipped Grey Goose Vodka cocktails and champagne, W's Global Music Director, Michaelangelo L'Acqua, spun tunes from the recently launched Symmentry CD.
